QPR set to complete signing of former Tottenham ace

Steven CaulkerLast time Queens Park Rangers were in the Premier League they spent far too much money on far too many past-it players and that’s what fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are discussing.

But it seems Harry Redknapp has learnt from previous wrongdoings and according to talkSPORThe is set to buy one of English football’s brightest prospects.

Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker is looking for a move back to the top flight following the Bluebirds’ relegation and it looks like he will get that chance with the Hoops.

Redknapp confirmed that QPR have had a bid accepted and he’s confident that Caulker will move to Loftus Road.

He said: “We’ve agreed a fee with Cardiff and it’s now up to Steven to decide his next move.

“I know him well from Spurs and he’s always been a tremendous prospect. Hopefully that’s one we can get done.”

The R’s are also set to complete the signing of Rio Ferdinand who was released by Manchester United at the end of last season.
