Manchester United fans may find themselves preoccupied with tonight’s Europa League second-leg but with their side trailing 2-0 from the reverse fixture, punters in the Transfer Tavern already feel the game is over.
Amid all the dramatic build-up, which is likely to result in a poor advert for English football tonight with two mediocre clubs battling, an interesting transfer line has developed via The Daily Express.
Lazio’s Senegalese international striker Keita Balde Diao, who was previously linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, has revealed he dreams of joining a ‘big club’ like Manchester United.
“I have a contract until 2018 and for the time being I will stay here. My ambition is get to play for the best teams in the world such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United, it’s the dream of all players.”
Given how Manchester United have struggled in recent years, by 2018 they could find themselves like Everton, with plenty of promise but no reward, so the best option for Diao would be to move to Spain- where, incidentally, he was actually born and was developed by Barcelona.
