Rafa Benitez ‘deeply disappointed’ with transfer business

Newcastle United managed to add a couple of players to their squad during the transfer window, however, it appears there is still some discontent at St. James’ Park.

The Magpies signed Federico Fernandez on deadline day, joining the likes of Salomon Rondon, Yoshinori Muto, Fabian Schar, Martin Dubravka, Ki Sung-Yeung and Kenedy as new additions in the north-east.

However, it appears that Rafa Benitez was not pleased with the business conducted by his club, with reports suggesting that he was unhappy with what happened over the course of the summer.

According to a report in the Newcastle Chronicle, the Newcastle boss is thought to be deeply disappointed with their recruitment drive.

It is believed that he is unhappy with the fact that his warnings throughout the last few weeks of the transfer window had not been heeded.

The Verdict:

Newcastle will be concerned that Benitez is not happy with how the club have acted during the transfer window.

The Spaniard had felt let down with the amount of spending from the club throughout the summer and it follows the same problems the club have faced in the past.

Newcastle will be hoping they have a squad capable to remain competitive in the Premier League, however, time will surely tell.
