Although, there is little prospect of the 57-year-old extending his stay beyond this campaign with friction over the transfer budget bubbling under the surface.
Rafa Benitez was able to bring Newcastle up from the Championship to the Premier League, so supporters will always appreciate what he has done for the club.
Although, the Magpies currently find themselves in a spot of bother with Mike Ashley keen to put things right, but sacking the Spaniard could cause for a pandemonium.
