Rafa Benitez has “no idea” about further transfers

Newcastle United have started to enjoy the transfer window this summer as they start to bring in new recruits, however, Rafa Benitez has created some doubt about the near future.

The Magpies have already landed the likes of Martin Dubravka, Ki Sung-yueng, Fabian Schar and have also managed to bring Kenedy back to St. James’ Park on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea.

The club are also thought to be closing in the signing of Yoshinori Muto from Mainz as well, as he looks to receive a work permit to allow the deal to happen, however, it appears that Benitez is not happy with how things have gone.

According to Sky Sports, the Spaniard has criticised the way the club has conducted their business and revealed that he has no idea about whether any more players will be arriving within the next week.

He later revealed that he still wants four or five players, however, time is starting to run out at a rapid pace.

The Verdict:

It is hard to see Benitez remain at Newcastle for a long period of time following his frustrations with the transfer window.

With the fact that the manager has revealed he has no idea about any other targets at the moment, it will cause some concern around the club.

It is felt that he has already made some good additions already, however, it is felt that they will still need a few more additions if they want to remain competitive in the Premier League.
