Newcastle United are still searching for their first win in the current Premier League campaign as they could only force a draw against Cardiff City yesterday.
The Magpies managed to finish in a respectable position last season but it already looks as if this will be difficult to repeat this season. And, Newcastle now have another thing to worry about, as according to the Mirror, Rafa Benitez is being lined up for a move to Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian.
Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is a target for Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian next summer.
Top clubs in China have been closely monitoring the uncertainty over Benitez’s future, and Quanjian are prepared to wait for the Spaniard.
Worryingly, the 58-year-old is in the final year of his contract and has still not agreed a new deal, so he could look to move away upon the expiry of his contract if no fresh terms are agreed.
Rafa Benitez has worked wonders at St James’ Park and they would be gutted to see him leave after enjoying two impressive seasons under the Spaniard.
But, with fresh terms yet to be agreed and the expiry of his contract getting closer by the day, he may look for another job when the summer comes round.
Newcastle United cannot afford to lose Benitez at any point as they will struggle to find a replacement that can offer the same experience and qualities.
