Arsenal's transfer business this summer has been superb and it looks like Emery has completed most of his deals early - unlike previous years.

Arsenal have brought in five new players to the squad and all have seemingly addressed weak areas in Arsenal's squad. While the club might possibly require a winger to provide competition for Iwobi and Mkhitaryan, any deal hinges on whether the Gunners sell off any players to increase the transfer budget.

The only slight problem Arsenal have going into the start of the season is the future of Aaron Ramsey. The Welsh midfielder only has 12 months left on his contract and is apparently a target for Chelsea according to reports.

To avoid the same problem they had with Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal may have to sell the midfielder who only has 12 months left on his current deal.

With that in mind, here are three potential replacements for the midfielder...

Maybe an unknown player to some, Nicolo Barella is one of the best young talents in Italy.

The young midfielder has recently been linked with a move to Liverpool such has been his impressive performances for Cagliari last season.

A player who's always looking to pass forward, albeit he needs to improve on the execution, Barella is very talented at driving forward with the ball.

He may not have Ramsey's ability to time his runs into the box but he certainly has the energy to be a box-to-box player in the future.

Often linked with a move to the Gunners, Adrien Rabiot currently only has one year left on his current deal and as of yet has refused to sign a new contract to remain at PSG.

The young midfielder isn't a like for like replacement for Ramsey but he arguably is a much better passer with the ball.

Moreover, at 23-years-old if Arsenal capture the midfielder at this point of his career, Arsenal will have a future star.

Although only 23, Saul has become a regular in Diego Simeone's team and has incredibly already made 204 appearances for the club.

The most unlikely of the three players, any bid for Saul would likely cost upwards of £60 million but if Arsenal want to sign a top-class player, Saul is the one.

The Spaniard has the ability to do pretty much anything on the football pitch and would be a superb replacement for Ramsey.
