Rangers plotting major move to sign experienced striker to enhance Premiership title hopes

Danny GrahamThe Sunderland fans who are gathered at the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports linking them with a move for a new striker.

The Scottish Sun is reporting that Rangers are considering a swoop for Sunderland striker Danny Graham.

Graham is out of contract at the Stadium Of Light this summer and has spent most of the season out of favour and out on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

The striker will bring added experience to a youthful Rangers squad and is no stranger to Gers boss Mark Warburton, who worked with the forward during his time at Watford.

The striker has failed to settle at Sunderland and has only managed to find the back of the net on one occasion.

He joined Blackburn on loan in January and has managed six goals in 16 games for the Championship side during his time at Ewood Park.

The Sunderland fans in The Tavern are not surprised that Graham could be on his way this summer, as they don’t see any reason why the club will offer the striker a new deal upon expiry of his current deal.

Our landlord has a feeling the striker would excel in Scotland, and think his experience could prove vital for the Scottish side next season!
