This is terrible news for the Rangers fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…
Rangers are going well in the Scottish Premier League this season, but ahead of a crunch clash against Ross County – they have suffered an injury blow. What’s more, unfortunately for the Rangers fans in the Football Transfer Tavern – it is a pretty huge one.
As per Sky Sports News on Twitter, midfielder Niko Kranjcar is set to miss up to 6 months as a result of a knee injury – meaning that his season is likely over.

BREAKING: Rangers midfielder Niko Kranjcar out for six months with cruciate ligament injury. #SSNHQ
— Sky Sports News (@SkySportsNews) November 2, 2016
The cruciate ligament injury has plagued football in recent years, with so many exciting players forced to the sidelines for months at a time in order to rehabilitate from the troublesome injury.
Kranjcar’s will cause particular concern for the Gers, given that he has featured heavily so far this season. Between starting berths and substitute roles, Kranjcar has made 9 appearences – signalling just how much of a blow this will be for Mark Warburton’s side.
Our landlord thinks that whilst Rangers do have the squad to cope with his loss – they will find it very tough to catch up to Celtic without him.
Rangers fans – thoughts?
