The German’s have had two bids rejected and a third of £22 million last Sunday met with a counter proposal from Everton demanding £28 million plus add ons.
The 20-year-old was left out of Everton’s squad for today’s Premier League fixture against Bournemouth with his exit understood to be imminent.
The youngster was one of the shining lights in the Bundesliga last season and could have been a superstar at Goodison Park if they provided him with the platform to grow.
Everton are short on numbers at the pinnacle of the attack and could rue selling the forward at a later date, with Sandro Ramirez and Cenk Tosun looking unconvincing so far this season.
But, with forward believed to be edging closer towards a move to Germany, Everton will now have receive some of the money back that was spent on Richarlison.
