Real Madrid eye lucrative swoop for Tottenham Hotspur hero

KaneTottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern this afternoon have expressed their concerns, sulkily sipping into their pints as they prepare themselves for another high-profile exit.

The Telegraph states Real Madrid are extremely keen on making striker Harry Kane a central part of their rebuild in 2016, with Cristiano Ronaldo set to leave and a number of their star-names reaching the back-end of their careers.

Kane rose to fame last season with a sensational scoring record, that included seven goals in eight games and a brace against Chelsea, which has put the Spanish giants on alert as they plot a long-term restructure.

A move for Kane would not go ahead this month but could be funded in the summer, as they believe Kane suits their policy of snatching the biggest young names and making them into global superstars.

Tottenham will be desperate not to sell but it could boil down to whether Mauricio Pochettino is successful in his quest of leading the North London outfit back into Champions League football, as 22-year-old Kane has aspirations of playing at the highest level.

Our landlord believes this is very much a deal that could go ahead, stating that he wouldn’t be surprised to see Karim Benzema axed at the Santiago Bernabeu come the end of the season in the wake of the blackmail saga that’s surrounding the French international.

Spurs fans, how much would you demand for Harry Kane? Let us know in the comments below!
