Real Madrid finally set to land Premier League goalkeeper in the summer

Hold onto David De Gea The Manchester United supporters who come into the Transfer Tavern on a daily basis have not been a happy bunch during this season.

The club’s stuttering form and a manager who doesn’t seem to know how to best use his squad, have contributed to ensure that the United faithful have been a miserable group.

Well our landlord could have some further morale damaging news for the Red Devils’ faithful after Sky Sports reported that Real Madrid could be finally set to land goalkeeper David de Gea this summer.

The Spanish custodian has never denied that he would love to return to the capital of his homeland one day and the report has suggested, that the La Liga outfit are set to meet the £30 million boy-out clause that de Gea has in his contract.

One United fan is playing pool in the Tavern and he thinks United were stupid to put the buy-out clause into de Gea’s contract in the first place, and thinks losing the stopper would be a massive blow.

United fans, who would you like to see replace de Gea? What do you make to the £30 million buy-out clause in his contract?
