Spanish outlet Fichajes declare that Eden Hazard is a summer target for Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, who is eying the Belgian as his next Galactico arrival in the Spanish capital.
Perez wants to secure a deal at the end of the season before Hazard’s value rises further, which could happen during Belgium’s campaign at the European Championships in France next summer.
Speculation on Hazard’s future is likely to rise after he was dropped for the victory over Aston Villa at the weekend, with Jose Mourinho putting it down to a tactical decision, but it’s clear that Hazard has struggled to replicate his fine form from last term.
Hazard’s decline has gone hand-in-hand with a poor run of form for Chelsea, who sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table with just 11 points from their opening nine games of the season.
