Real Madrid revenge is all Liverpool fans want in the Champions League

The Champions League draw takes place later today at roughly 5 pm GMT and with Liverpool in Pot 3 they could be set with a serious group of death. After losing to Real Madrid in the final of the competition last season they all want to face Los Blancos in this season’s group stage. Fans can see the potential draw on the Liverpool website.

The Champions League final back in May was tough for plenty of Liverpool fans. They lost 3-1 to Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid after shooting themselves in the foot for two of the three goals they shipped. Loris Karius might as well have thrown the ball into his own net twice, either side of a Gareth Bale wonder-goal. However, that is now in the memory and the Reds will be keen to get revenge over the Madrid giants.

A chance to see Mo Salah wheeling away in celebration after skinning Sergio Ramos would be one that the Kopites would savour after he injured the Egyptian in the final and halved the Reds chances of coming away with their sixth edition of old big ears. If they can have a crack at Real Madrid in the groups and bring Julen Lopetegui’s side to Anfield and beat them it will be a sweet moment for The Kopites.

The Reds would love an opportunity to get revenge over Madrid and will be hoping they get that when the draw is completed later today.
