Despite making the next round of the FA Cup lst night, it has not been a good week for Everton fans here at the Football Transfer Tavern and after the latest article in the Daily Mail about Marouane Fellaini, it is about to get worse.
The club have already seen the widespread rumors surrounding Leighton Baines and a potential move to Chelsea and now it seems that another of their key performers has come under the attention of not only the Blues, but now a Spanish giant.
We have long discussed the potential move of Fellaini to Chelsea and the player himself has even admitted his head has been turned by the interest. Well sadly for Everton fans, if the Belgian is exhilirated by Chelsea, we can only imagine what he thinks about the claims that Real Madrid are seriously considering making a bid for his services.
The Belgium international has been nothing short of sensational during the last couple of seasons and has even managed to get himself on the radar of Jose Mourinho’s side and after netting 31 times since his £15 million move from Standard Liege in 2008.
Real Madrid are reportedly planning a summer shake up after falling so far behind to Barcelona in La Liga and with punters in the tavern still no clearer on whether Jose Mourinho will remain in Madrid, a new manager may indeed wish to place his own stamp on the Los Blancos side.
Given that Fellaini only cost the aforementioned £15 million, Moyes will be looking to recoup more than double this fee if he is forced to sell his prized asset.
Is Fellaini to Real Madrid a realistic proposition? Rate this rumour below.
