It’s that time of year again, when the new editions of Pro Evolution Soccer (or PES for short) and FIFA are set to do battle.
FIFA has without doubt had the upper hand in the last five years or so, and before the games are even released it looks set to be another year of triumph for the geeks from EA Sports on the account that PES have struggled to give their new release any sort of realism.
This preview of the game shows Arsenal celebrating winning the Premier League title on an open top bus. Shall we just pack up and go home now?
This would have been amazing on PES 5 – you know the one with Thierry Henry and John Terry having a staring competition on the cover? This was the last time Arsenal actually won any sort of silverware, and therefore could be passed off as being somewhat realistic.
But then again, they do say the joy of PES and FIFA is the fact you can make the impossible, possible. And if Arsenal turn out to be one of the 18 teams on PES that are not ‘registered’ and therefore have fake player names, it could be passed off as being a believable fantasy after all!
