Red Bull Leipzig make improved offer for Ademola Lookman

Everton could still see one of their player’s leave Goodison Park this summer after one club refuses to give up on their chase.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Red Bull Leipzig have made a £22million offer for Ademola Lookman.

The Bundesliga side are desperate to bring the 20-year-old back to Germany after being impressed by him during his loan spell last season.

It is believed that the Toffees are unwilling to sell the player, with Marco Silva thought to have plans for the winger, however, with the arrival of Bernard and Richarlison, it is understood that they could offload the talented youngster.

However, it should be noted that the £22m supposedly on the table from Leipzig still falls somewhat short of what Everton want, with £30m being considered the fee to lure him away from Goodison Park.

The Verdict:

Although Red Bull Leipzig are currently well below the asking price, a move could still happen before the end of August.

Lookman is yet to feature for Everton so far this season after he was left as an unused substitute during their win against Southampton.

This will be a move that could go down to the wire, and if things were to remain as they were for the 20-year-old, a switch to the Bundesliga would be the best thing for him.
