Red Devils target rules out Manchester United transfer

Arturo Vidal Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern may have to give up hope of signing Arturo Vidal this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the Juventus and Chilean international star Vidal has categorically ruled out a move to Manchester United this summer.

Vidal had been strongly linked with a move to the Red Devils in recent months and, along with Liverpool and Real Madrid, all the European giants were keen to sign the 27-year-old.

But in a recent interview Vidal said: “I do not go to Manchester.

“Can I say I will remain with Juve? I don’t know.

“I’ll talk to Allegri on Monday and then we will see. I haven’t spoken with Allegri or any of my team-mates yet, but I’m not going to Manchester.”

So it still remains to be seen whether the former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, who has three years left on his contract in Turin, will be at Juventus next summer.

The Bianconeri, unsurprisingly, are not too keen on seeing one of their prized assets leave this summer but it is believed the Old Lady could be tempted by a bid in the region of £36 million.

However, it seems that Manchester United have missed out on his signature which will comes as a major blow to new Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal who had been tracking the player.
