Reports from talkSPORT have claimed that Everton are ready to sell Steven Pienaar to Tottenham if Nico Kranjcar is included as part of swap deal for the midfielder.
The future of the South Africa international was the subject of intense speculation during the summer in which he was linked with moves to a number of clubs including Spurs.
With only a year left on his contract at Goodison Park, it is thought that Pienaar could be ready to make a move away from the club.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp put a dampener this rumour stating that Kranjcar still has a future at the club saying ‘I’ve got a lot of games coming up and Niko is very much in my plans to play’.
Kranjcar has voiced his frustration at the lack of first team football he has played at Tottenham so far this season, though has shown willingness to fight for his place stating ‘I am waiting for my chance,The squad is probably one of the best in the Premier League. I have to work hard.’
Kranjcar has so far failed to start a game for Harry Redknapp’s side this season and the arrival of Raphael Van Der Vaart along with the form of Tom Huddlestone and Jermaine Jenas are making it hard for him to break into the starting line-up.
Would this be good business for the two clubs?
