Harry Redknapp is a firm favourite amongst fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern with Sky Sports revealing the QPR manager is attempting to make a massive signing for the Premier League’s bottom club.
Redknapp and his chief scout Ian Broomfield reportedly made a trip to France following QPR’s goalless draw with Tottenham on Saturday to cast their eye over Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila.
The young Frenchman is one of the most highly rated talents in Europe, and Arsenal have previously been strongly linked with the defensive midfielder.
The French international is rated at £12 million, with it rumoured that the Hoops have already lodged a £7.4m bid. However, Redknapp remains unconvinced as to whether M’Vila is keen on a move to Loftus Road, with his side currently sitting bottom of the Premier League standings.
Redknapp has been left frustrated in the transfer window thus far, missing out on Joe Cole and seemingly Loic Remy also. The West London club have managed to bring in free agent and Israel international centre back Tal Ben Haim however.
A move for M’Vila would represent a major coup for the R’s, although Fulham remain keen on the 23-year-old.
