We were delighted to see Harry Redknapp return to the Premier League here in the Football Transfer Tavern, and Tom Collomosse of the Evening Standard has informed us of one of his top January transfer window targets.
According to sources in France, Redknapp is keen to bring former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou back to West London and back to the Premier League with QPR.
Kalou only left Stamford Bridge in the summer to join French side Lille, but has struggled to settle at the Ligue 1 side and is thought to be desperate for a move back to England.
Redknapp is ready to offer that alternative, by making a loan bid with a view to a permanent move at the end of the season.
Kalou became a £5 million signing for Chelsea back in 2006 from Feyenoord, and went on to score 56 goals in 249 appearances for the Blues. Kalou would offer a further goal threat at Loftus Road for Redknapp’s struggling side.
