What a job Ralph Hasenhuttl has done at Southampton since coming in last December.
You only have to look at someone like Nathan Redmond to see how well the Austrian’s magic has worked.
Redmond has looked like a player reborn under Hasenhuttl and will undoubtedly be one man his manager will be leaning on next season as the Saints try to avoid another relegation battle.
And the 25-year-old could be joined by a new face in attack, with Sky Sports reporting that Southampton are interested in signing Liverpool’s Harry Wilson in the summer.
All things considered, as well as Hasenhuttl, Redmond could very much do with the arrival of another winger like Wilson.
The England international has really been carrying Southampton’s attack and needs some support, with Wilson being the man who could offer him just that.
The 22-year-old, who is also a problem when coming inside like Redmond, could really add some balance to Southampton’s attack.
He would complement Redmond nicely on the opposite flank, providing Hasenhuttl’s side with another threat when his potential counterpart on the other side is having his influence limited.
Ultimately, Southampton need some more firepower in attack, someone to share some of the burden and pressure with Redmond, and that looks like something Wilson is capable of doing.
