According to talkSPORT, the colourful Danish striker has signed for German outfit Wolfsburg after the North London club released him at the end of last season.
The 26-year-old, who has spent time on loan at Birmingham City, Sunderland and Juventus, has signed a three-year deal with the Volkswagen Arena-based side.
“We want to play a good role in all three competitions this season, and to do this we need players who already know what this kind of challenge is all about,” coach Dieter Hecking said.
“Nicklas embodies precisely the kind of striker we were looking for. He fits the profile and is going to strengthen our squad.”
Bendtner only managed 32 Premier League goals in 136 appearances but Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs has every faith in the Danish international.
“He’s in his prime and, although his career has not always gone smoothly, he’s still been able to gain plenty of international experience,” he said.
“With his ability, he’s going to raise the quality of our attack.”
