Tottenham have developed a reputation for having a superb youth academy. The Lillywhites have seen a number of top players come through their ranks, none more spectacular than England captain, Harry Kane. However, the fans will be devasted if these reports from Radio Scoop are true and Reo Griffiths is nearing a move to Lyon.

Griffiths has the potential to do everything in the game. At the age of 18, he’s already had Spurs fans calling for him to play in the senior squad and considering he’s scored 34 goals in 34 games in the U18 Premier League at a rate of a goal every 82 minutes, as well as setting up 11 goals for teammates, the fans were adamant that he’s going to make it at Tottenham one day.
Tottenham have been long-term sufferers when it comes to signing strikers. Fernando Llorente, Vincent Janssen and Roberto Soldado have all flopped and it’s looked like the fans will have to rely on Harry Kane more than they would have wanted to. That’s until the likes of Griffiths came along, with a lot of Tottenham fans believing he’d solved their backup striker problem. Unfortunately, it looks like the club will have to wait longer to have that issue resolved.
You can read the Lillywhites’ verdict on Griffiths here:
Noooo, terrible decision, really could do with him getting a bit of gametime this season in the cup. Fantastic potential.

That’s a shame. Seen him a few times in youth games and pre season and he’s always looked pretty decent!

As you can see, the fans are all in agreement that the club should not be letting Griffiths leave.
