Tottenham Hotspur have not been enjoying the best transfer window this summer as the club would have initially hoped for.
Mauricio Pochettino is keen to improve his side ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign as he looks to end the silverware drought Spurs are currently suffering.
However, the Argentine has so far not been able to add any new faces to his White Hart Lane outfit and has seen a number of the club’s youngsters move on.
Keanan Bennetts decided to quit north London and moved to the Bundesliga as he joined up with Borussia Monchengladbach as he follows in the footsteps of other talented English players to make the move to Germany, whilst Noni Madueke rejected a new deal in favour for a switch to PSV Eindhoven.
And, according to a report in The Daily Star, Pochettino could be about to lose the third talented youngster from his academy ranks, with Reo Griffiths understood to undergo a medical with French outfit Olympique de Lyonnais.
The 19-year-old is thought to have rejected an improved contract from Tottenham and has been impressed with the Ligue One side’s commitment to developing younger players and getting them into their first-team.
Losing Griffiths could become a huge blow for Tottenham in the near future as the 19-year-old had started to make a name for himself.
The striker is highly regarded as one of England’s most exciting prospects and he backed up those claims in the developmental side when he netted 32 times in just 27 matches.
Tottenham are looking to bring in a striker as competition and as a suitable backup for Harry Kane, however, there was an opinion that Griffiths could have been that man, but now they will need to look at the market, otherwise, they will need to keep Fernando Llorente or Vincent Janssen.
