Newcastle United fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that their side can enjoy a better campaign next time round, as Rafa Benitez struggled to get the best out of his players in attacking areas.
Indeed, the Magpies won’t want to flirt with the possibility of relegation next season after avoiding the drop towards the end of the last campaign. And, much to the delight of many of our local northerners, it looks as if Rafa Benitez is looking to splash the cash, as according to the Telegraph, Benitez is hoping to sign Chelsea winger Kenedy and is also keen on Red Bull Salzburg playmaker Valon Berisha.
Interestingly, it’s believed that Benitez is hoping to sign Chelsea winger Kenedy on a long-term contract deal after a successful loan spell last season and is also keen on Red Bull Salzburg playmaker Valon Berisha.
And, it’s understood that the pair are likely to cost £35 million, which will sadly use up a large amount of his transfer kitty. Although, the Magpies are hoping to raise another £20 million with the sale of Aleksandar Mitrovic to Fulham.
So, it looks as if Rafa Benitez is looking to splash the cash as he hopes to secure the services of Kenedy and is keen on Valon Berisha. Both players will contribute heavily in attacking areas if they are brought to the club, as the Brazilian has already shown he can score goals in attacking areas last season, while Berisha has been one of Red Bull Salzburg’s most dangerous attacking outlets in seasons gone by.
