Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be pleased with the work that Jurgen Klopp has already managed to produce in the transfer window, but they will still be expecting him to continue with his efforts.
Despite the saga surrounding Nabil Fekir, the Reds have managed to tie up deals for Fabimho and Naby Keita – whilst it’s expected that Liverpool will make further improvements, notably in goal.
With all those possible incomings, Klopp is expected to need to raise some finances in order to allow for those deals to be made and according to reports, he could be ready to let a number of players leave.
The Times are claiming that in addition to Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge, both Simon Mingolet and Ryan Kent could be shifted this summer as the German manager looks to raise the capital needed to improve his squad. All four would be considered surplus to requirements at the Reds and they are hopeful that they can receive a number of substantial offers for the players.
The Liverpool fans in the Tavern would not be too concerned with the names being suggested for exits as the majority of them have failed to have the desired impact over the past couple of seasons.
Mingolet has proven to be costly, whilst Sturridge and Ings have both been limited with serious injuries during their Anfield careers.
The locals could be surprised that Kent could be offloaded, with the youngster showing some promise during loan spells away from the club. However, a number of the residents will feel that a first-team spot at Liverpool is too far out from his reach.
Nonetheless, more big names are needed, and if this is how they will be signed then so be it.
