Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping their club will make a number of additions to the squad this summer as they look to build upon last season’s efforts.
Roy Hodgson’s side battled against relegation for the majority of the season and the former England manager will be hoping for a different outcome next time round. He will be looking at making changes to improve his side and one man has been identified as a possible option.
According to reports by Real Sport 101, the Eagles are interested in bringing Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski to Selhurst Park. The Poland international has told the Welsh outfit he wants to leave the club following their relegation, and a return to London could be of interest.
The 33-year-old has been a key figure for the Swans in the last couple of years and he would be a solid addition to the Palace side, but they must fend off competition from Newcastle, Watford and West Ham to secure his signature.
The former Arsenal shot-stopper is not expected to be short of offers to leave the Swans and the Palace fans would welcome him to Selhurst Park with open arms.
The locals are concerned with the consistency of Wayne Hennessey, whilst Julian Speroni is approaching an age where he may not be considered a viable option for first-team football. Palace have looked at Vicente Guaita before, however, a move for the Getafe ‘keeper broke down in January.
