Everton fans here in the Tavern will be desperate for their side to improve next season, as they failed to assert their dominance both domestically and in Europe.
The Toffees looked less than convincing this season as they struggled to ensure consistency, with many of our local residents turning their back on the club. Although, it looks as if the Merseyside club are lining up a summer move for a defender, as according to Sun Sport, Everton are looking to swoop on Danny Rose.
The Spurs defenders is likely to leave this summer after a rather frustrating campaign in North London.
Indeed, Manchester United and Manchester City have both previously looked at Danny Rose, but the Red Devils look to have made Alex Sandro their primary target and the Citizens are satisfied with having Fabian Delph as back-up to Benjamin Mendy.
So, the Toffees could look to swoop in for the left-back as his options may be limited when it comes to potentially joining a team in the Champions League.
And, with Leighton Baines needing replacing at some point in the future, Everton may look to bring Danny Rose to the club as his long-term replacement.
Although, it’s understood that the defender is currently valued at £40 million.
The Englishman may be able to guarantee European football next season, as he would be sure to iron out any underlying problems in defensive areas. Indeed, the Toffees struggled to ensure defensive solidity this season, which was one of the main reasons behind their disappointing campaign, so Danny Rose would easily be able to take them to the next level.
