Everton fans here in the Tavern will be desperate for their side to find a suitable Allardyce replacement, as they’ll be looking to challenge for a European place next season.
The Toffees will be desperate for success next season after flirting with the possibility of relegation at one point. And, they seem to be making great strides in appointing a new manager, as according to the Mail Online, Everton hope to announce former Watford boss Marco Silva as their new manager next week.
Everton reportedly hope to announce former Watford boss Marco Silva as their new manager next week after sacking Sam Allardyce.
Interestingly, it’s understood that talks with Marco Silva have concluded satisfactorily and previous threats from Silva’s former club Watford to demand compensation are not an obstacle to the appointment.
Indeed, Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has been a long-term admirer of the Portuguese boss and tried to sign him after Ronald Koeman was sacked.
There’s no doubt that Marco Silva is one of the most promising managers in world football, so Everton will be desperate to get him on board as soon as possible to help prepare for next season. And, having failed to secure a European spot for next season, Marco Silva will be sure to bring in the kind of players that can help push for a top-seven finish.
