Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are feeling confident ahead of the new season having already made moves on the transfer front this summer.
The Reds won’t want to taste disappointment in the next campaign after losing out to Real Madrid in the Champions League final, so improvements will still be required before the season gets underway. And, it appears as if Jurgen Klopp is doing everything he possibly can to bolster his squad, as according to the Mirror, Liverpool have resumed Nabil Fekir transfer talks.
Interestingly, it’s understood that the Reds have resumed talks with Lyon over a deal for Nabil Fekir.
A £53 million move for the Frenchman fell apart at the start of June when Liverpool became concerned over issues in his medical.
However, in the last few days negotiations have resumed with a belief that a compromise can be hammered out with Fekir finally becoming a Liverpool player once he has returned from the World Cup.
So, it looks as if Liverpool are in shock talks to bring Nabil Fekir to Anfield, which has surprised many of our local Liverpudlians as they thought that any possible deal was completely flattened when everything broke down last month.
