Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are feeling slightly concerned at this moment in time, as their transfer window seems to be falling apart.
Indeed, the Reds will be looking to strengthen this summer after missing out on silverware in the Champions League, with Jurgen Klopp stills searching for his first trophy. Although, it looks as if he’s making moves on the transfer front, as according to Sun Sport, Liverpool are set to bid £15 million for Burnley’s Nick Pope.
Jurgen Klopp hopes that Nick Pope can answer Liverpool’s goalkeeping prayers and will bid £15 million for him this summer. And, much to the delight of many of our local Liverpudlians, Burnley are unlikely to demand that he stays given Tom Heaton has returned from shoulder injury.
Sadly, Loris Karius endured a disaster in the Champions League final, with a potential replacement being eyed up ever since.
Burnley ‘keeper Nick Pope, who will be jetting off to the World Cup with England very soon, has two years left on his contract at Turf Moor and would be far cheaper than AS Roma’s Alisson.
So, it looks as if Liverpool are set to splash the cash on Nick Pope this summer, as they look to forget about Nabil Fekir. The Burnley shot-stopper established himself as a Premier League star in the campaign just gone by putting in a number of world-class performances at Turf Moor.
