Liverpool fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that their side can bring in a number of big-name players this summer, as they failed to make the most of a promising position in the Champions League.
Indeed, the Reds failed to take advantage of their promising position in this year’s Champions League competition, as they ended up losing 3-1 to an impressive Real Madrid side in the final. Although, it looks as if the Reds are already looking to bolster their squad, as according to L’Equipe, Liverpool will hold talks with Lyon in the coming days over a potential £53 million move for Nabil Fekir.
Sadly, the attacker did recently distance himself from suggestions that a move to Anfield was imminent, as he said this:
“I’m not close to Liverpool. I will take time to think.”
Although, much to the delight of many of our local Liverpudlians, Lyon are reportedly ready to open talks this week with Liverpool over the transfer of Nabil Fekir.
The Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is looking to strengthen his side this summer, with the Frenchman currently on his radar.
There’s no doubt that Nabil Fekir is one of the most sought-after attackers in the whole of Europe, as Chelsea and Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the Frenchman this summer. And, with Liverpool reportedly set to hold talks with Lyon later on this week, it looks as if the Reds are finally set to make a move for the promising attacker.
