Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting their side to build on their impressive season last year and will want the side to challenge for honours once again.
Jurgen Klopp has already been busy in the transfer window this summer, adding a number of new recruits to his squad, however, it is unlikely that he has finished his crusade as he looks to add another attacker and goalkeeper to his team at least.
However, the Reds may benefit hugely from one decision that one of their star player’s decides to make following the recent events at the World Cup in Russia, according to reports.
ESPN are claiming that Mohamed Salah is considering his future with the Egypt national side following the drama surrounding him following the team’s stay in Chechnya. The star has been dragged into a political row and has grown unhappy about the situation.
Salah was declared an honorary citizen of Chechnya by the leader of the Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, who has become a controversial figure following his hard-line approach of his rule of his people.
Although many in the Tavern would like to see the Egyptian King play for his country again in the future, some of the locals would be delighted that if he did choose to retire from international duties, he would then solely be focused on Liverpool’s efforts.
Salah was instrumental for the Red’s last season and many will be hoping he can continue to light up Anfield in the same way he did during his debut year.
