Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will want Jurgen Klopp to continue their recruitment drive this summer as they will want the club to continue to push for silverware.
The Reds came close to picking up their first title since 2012 when they met Real Madrid in the Champions League final, however, the locals in the Tavern will not want to be reminded of what they saw in Ukraine.
It is no secret that the club were considering moves for a new goalkeeper before that eventful night, however, Loris Karius’ display has highlighted Klopp’s need for a new shot-stopper this summer.
However, according to a report in the Daily Mirror, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak does not seem to be a realistic target at the moment, as the Spanish giants are not prepared to come down from their valuation.
The Slovenia international, who has been nothing but world-class for the Los Rojiblancos since he arrived, is thought to cost Liverpool over £80million if they want to bring him to Anfield, however, that appears extremely unlikely at the moment.
Liverpool have been linked with moves for Alisson Becker and Oblak in recent weeks, however, both of the ‘keepers are going to cost them plenty of money this summer. The Liverpool locals are determined to bring a new goalkeeper in, however, may be concerned that the club will not spend what they need to in order to bring in a huge name and help them improve between the sticks.
