Report: Newcastle closing in on bringing former loanee back to St. James’ Park

Newcastle United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be excited with the news that they could be about to pull off their biggest signing of the summer.

Rafa Benitez and the locals in the bar will have been growing in frustration with the lack of transfer activity this summer from their club.

The Magpies have added Martin Dubravka and Ki Sung-yueng to their squad, however, it appears that they could bring back a former loanee once again if reports from the Daily Telegraph are to be believed.

The media outlet are claiming that the Magpies are on the verge of signing Chelsea’s Kenedy once again on a temporary deal, however, this time on a season-long loan. The Brazilian shone for the St. James’ Park outfit last season as they managed to go on an impressive run and Benitez made it one of his priorities to bring him back.

It is being suggested that Newcastle are looking to bring the 22-year-old on an initial loan move with a view to making it permanent once it concludes.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Newcastle fans in the Tavern will be delighted with the news that they may be able to bring Kenedy back to St. James’ Park on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old had already become somewhat a hero for many of the locals with his performances in the black-and-white stripes and the punters will be excited to see him do it all again for a whole season if they can land him.
