Report: Nuno looking to build defensive ranks at Wolves with bargain deal

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be pleased with the developments Nuno Espirito Santo has been making at Molineux this summer and will be hoping to see a few more additions to the side.

The newly-promoted outfit ran away with the Championship last season and are preparing for life in the Premier League, with the former Porto manager keen on making some huge signings to help them battle for survival next year.

Nuno has already added the likes of Rui Patricio and Raul Jimenez to his squad this summer and according to a report, he is now looking to another World Cup man as he looks to add reinforcements.

ESPN are claiming Wolves are interested in West Bromwich Albion’s Ahmed Hegazi after impressing for the Baggies last season despite being relegated. It is believed that the Egypt international has a release clause in the region of £10million, which would be considered a bargain for any Premier League side.

Landlord’s Verdict

The possibility of adding a player like Hegazi for just £10m should be something Wolves snap up as soon as possible. The locals in the Tavern know that their side needs to add to their defensive ranks and a player of his ability would certainly help with that, but they will know they will need to act quickly on a move as he has attracted interest from the likes of West Ham United as well.
