The West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will have mixed reactions about what Manuel Pellegrini has managed to achieve at the London Stadium so far.
The former Manchester City boss was recently appointed as the new Hammers manager and he has already set out to make his squad as strong as possible ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
The Chilean is keen to bring European football to the London Stadium outfit and by means of playing attractive football and has already started to make his defence a lot stronger with a number of recruits.
However, according to a report in the Daily Mirror, the new Irons’ chief has held talks with Jack Wilshere, following his release from Arsenal. The midfielder, who is thought to have an offer to play abroad, is prepared to consider what opportunities he could have closer to home.
The 26-year-old could feel that it is best to stay in London with his young family and a move to the London Stadium could also help him to get his England career back on track as well.
The arrival of Wilshere would delight the West Ham fans in the Tavern as he would be able to provide the squad with plenty of experience of playing at a top-level and would help Pellegrini achieve his aims of playing attractive football.
A move across London could also be a major benefit for the midfielder on a personal level, and the locals in the Tavern will be hopeful the club can convince him to join them this summer.
