Report: Tottenham strike agreement to stand them in good stead ahead of next season

Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern will be disappointed with the news coming out from the media today as they look to compete across all competitions this season.

Mauricio Pochettino is keen on taking Spurs to the next level as he looks to try and bring silverware to the club, however, his plans may have taken a slight setback leading up to the beginning of the 2018/19 Premier League season.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, White Hart Lane does not appear to be close to being finished on time and Tottenham have made the decision to strike an agreement with the Football Association to play at least one of their home fixtures at Wembley.

Spurs have already been granted special permission to allow them to play their first three Premier League matches away from home, which will not have delighted many of the locals in the bar, however, it appears deadlines around the development of the new White Hart Lane Stadium appear to be getting to close to comfort.

Landlord’s Verdict

Spurs would have liked to have played their home games at White Hart Lane this season and the locals will be slightly disappointed that the ground is not ready just yet. However, a number of the punters will not be too concerned with the issues and will hope the team can take full advantage of their first three away games, before heading back to a stadium they know very well.
