Report: West Brom in positive talks about a deal for World Cup midfielder

West Bromwich Albion fans in the Transfer Tavern will be concerned with what the summer will continue to bring as a number of their players continue to depart from The Hawthorns.

The Baggies were relegated from the Premier League last season and Darren Moore is facing a tough time trying to keep his stars from wanting to desert him and his efforts to try and take them back into the Premier League.

However, it appears the club are also happy to let a number of their players go this summer as they look to reduce their wage bill, and according to reports in Turkey, talks are set to continue for one of their midfielders.

Trt Spor are claiming Besiktas are in discussions with Albion for Nacer Chadli after their manager, Senol Gunes was given the green light from his club’s board to hold talks.

It is believed West Brom are prepared to accept offers around 10million euros, however, the Super Lig outfit are hoping they will bring their valuation down.

Landlord’s Verdict

The West Bromwich Albion fans in the Tavern will be disappointed that things did not work out for their club-record signing since his move from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Belgium international was plagued with injuries last season and the Baggies will be keen to receive as much as they can for him, especially following his showing for the Red Devils in the World Cup.
