West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be pleased that their team finished the season strongly but will be expecting the board to put all the hard work in now to bring in a number of additions this summer to help improve.
The Hammers locals have been vocal about the owners and have not hidden their feelings towards them, however, they will now be expecting them to splash out on new recruits as they look to strengthen their place within the Premier League.
According to L’Equipe, the Irons have already begun identifying possible transfer targets, with Chievo Verona star Samuel Bastien on their radar. The 21-year-old has had an impressive season in Serie A having gone on to make 20 appearances and showing a promising amount of talent.
The West Ham locals in the Tavern will be pleased that the club could already be starting to make moves in the transfer window and Bastien could be a player that could help immediately.
The midfielder is highly-regarded and can play in a couple of key positions where the Hammers need bodies, as well as being a quick and skilful talent, however, the club will face interest from a number of different clubs.
The Irons desperately need a player to go in the middle of the park and Bastien could prove to be a useful addition to a midfield that has lacked pace and technical ability in recent memory.
