West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern could be set to welcome their first transfer signing of the summer in the coming days and it would be regarded as a good piece of business.
Manuel Pellegrini has been looking to strengthen the Hammers since he arrived at the London Stadium a couple of weeks ago following the departure of David Moyes and is thought to be on the verge of capturing his first man.
According to a report by Claret and Hugh, who are a respectable website for all things Irons, they are claiming that the club have met with Fulham’s Ryan Fredericks and he could be set to sign a deal in the next few days.
The 25-year-old has been attracting plenty of interest from clubs within the Premier League with his performances for the Cottagers, is expected to leave this summer on a free transfer as he has decided against renewing his contract.
Pellegrini is believed to have given his stamp of approval for the deal to go ahead, as the player had previously been linked with a move to the London Stadium during Moyes’ reign.
The free transfer to take Fredericks across the capital can be seen as a good deal for the Hammers, especially as they have not had to pay anything to land him. The right-back has earned rave reviews for his performances in the Championship and will certainly add to the depth of the West Ham squad, as Pellegrini will look to bring players in who can help the club achieve their aims of playing attractive football.
