Report: West Ham set to battle for £25M-rated forward

West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern have started to get excited for the first time in a very long while with what the Hammers have been trying to do this summer and it could be about to get better.

Manuel Pellegrini has been busy in the transfer window since his appointment and has already confirmed that three men will join them this summer, however, it appears he is far from done with the additions he has already made.

The new Irons boss has been trying to bring a number of high-profile names to the London Stadium and according to a report in The Sun, he could be about to bring another one to the capital.

The media outlet are claiming that West Ham, along with Fulham, are ready to spend £25million on Nice’s Alassane Plea, who is waiting on permission to fly to England to talk to the two sides.

Pellegrini is desperate to add a striker to the fold at the Hammers, as they have a lack of firepower in the squad and his performances in the Ligue One would suggest he knows how to find the back of the net regularly.

Landlord’s Verdict

The West Ham fans in the Tavern will be pleased with what the club is trying to do this summer and will be delighted that they are in with a chance of bringing Plea to the Premier League. The locals know that they need added firepower as they looked towards Marko Arnautovic for much of last season and the French striker could help to take some of that pressure away.
