Report: West Ham set to confirm huge £29m double deal as new era begins to take shape

West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be delighted with what Manuel Pellegrini has already been able to bring to the London Stadium and will be celebrating their latest signings.

The Hammers appointed the Chilean manager to help them achieve their aims of playing European football, as well as doing it in an attractive manner, and will be pleased with the movements he has been making in the transfer market.

The London Evening Standard are claiming the Irons are set to announce a huge double deal in the next 24 hours, with the arrivals of Lukasz Fabianski and Issa Diop expected to be confirmed.

The Hammers were desperate to add a goalkeeper to their side with uncertainty surrounding Adrian, whilst they are also keen to strengthen their defensive options.

The Poland international, who was in action for his national side at the World Cup last night, is expected to sign a three-year deal in a £7million switch from Swansea City, whilst Diop is due to complete a £22m move.

Landlord’s Verdict

The West Ham fans in the Tavern will be delighted that the club are starting to make significant improvements to their squad.

The residents in the bar will be waiting to see how they all gel together but will be hoping for a successful start to the season with the likes of Fabianski and Diop being introduced to the side.
