West Ham United fans here in the Tavern are looking forward to the summer transfer window, as they may be able to challenge for European football next season.
Interestingly, the Hammers will be looking to iron over any underlying problems this summer, as a mixture of defensive issues and a lack of potency in front of goal caused them problems this season. Encouragingly, it looks as if the club are already looking forward to the summer transfer window, as according to Sun Sport, West Ham United want Tom Heaton to replace Joe Hart next season.
It’s understood that West Ham United want to bring Tom Heaton to the London Stadium this summer to replace Joe Hart.
Joe Hart was one of the main reasons behind the Hammers’ poor defensive record this season, as he often produced a number of unforced errors and was at fault for a number of goals.
Therefore, West Ham are hoping to finally land a consistent ‘keeper by pushing Burnley to let them sign Tom Heaton.
However, it looks as if the Hammers will find it difficult to lure him to the London Stadium, as it’s believed that Sean Dyche would prefer to keep him at the club.
There’s no doubt that Tom Heaton would be an upgrade on Joe Hart if the Hammers manage to sign him this summer, as the Burnley ‘keeper started this season as first-choice and was pushing for a place on the plane to Russia 2018. And, Joe Hart has let the side down too often this season as his mistakes cost them a number of points, which is why many of our local residents are delighted to see him go.
