Liverpool fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that manager Jurgen Klopp can secure silverware next weekend, as the Reds will take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
Indeed, the Reds have had a season to remember as they managed to secure a Champions League spot for next season and remain on course to win this season’s European competition. However, it looks as if they’ll be saying goodbye to one of their star players at some point after the final, as according to the Mail Online, Juventus expect to announce the signing of Emre Can after the Champions League final.
The German international had been offered new terms by Liverpool but they have refused to include a buyout clause in any contract proposals.
And, it’s understood that Juventus chief executive Beppe Morata told Italian TV:
‘I am confident we will be able to announce Emre Can after the Champions League final.’
Indeed, the midfielder is a part of the Liverpool squad that have flown out to Marbella ahead of the Champions League final next weekend, but he may not feature for the Reds before his supposed move to Juventus, as he remains an outside bet to feature in Kiev.
Emre Can has been a key player for Liverpool in recent times as he has made a number of contributions. Although, it looks as if he will be making the move to Juventus this summer, as the Italian club’s chief executive is confident that he will complete the move following the Champions League final. So, many of our local Liverpudlians are now feeling extremely worried, as the Reds may struggled to find a like-for-like replacement.
