We’re expecting the Transfer Tavern to be packed full of Chelsea fans on Wednesday evening. It has been a tough few weeks in the Premier League for the Blues, but their form in the Champions League has been excellent this season. They beat Qarabag in dominating fashion on the opening day, whilst they also excelled against Atletico Madrid in Spain.
Their next game, though, is another tough one, with Italian giants AS Roma the next opponents for the Blues. The Italian outfit have a rich history of success, and so Chelsea can’t take the game lightly. Given the Blues’ poor form in the Premier League, Antonio Conte needs to use all of his tactical nous to get the three points.
Fortunately, the Italian has provided some respite for the Blues at last ahead of the game. As confirmed in Chelsea’s pre-match press conference, Alvaro Morata is set to be available for selection once again.

He, of course, missed Chelsea’s game against Crystal Palace on Saturday through injury, leaving Michy Batshuayi to lead the line. The Belgian really struggled, and so Morata’s return will certainly be welcomed with open arms at Stamford Bridge.
Morata has scored 6 goals in the Premier League so far this term, alongside 1 in the Champions League.
This is huge news for Chelsea.
Michy Batshuayi, simply put, is not good enough. He really struggled against Crystal Palace, and Chelsea can’t afford a similar attacking performance against Roma.
Morata has made a very good start to the season, and he’ll help Chelsea ten-fold going forward.
