Despite the harsh criticism earlier in the season, Arsenal have come out rejuvenated from their two losses against Man City and Chelsea and are now one of the form teams in Europe.

The Gunners have won nine games in a row and as it stands, are only two points off the top. Arsenal came off their most impressive win of the season last weekend as they beat Fulham 5-1, in a game where their famed attacking style of football seemed to return.

Unai Emery was without star man, Mesut Ozil at the weekend but according to the Evening Standard, the Germany international and Ainsley Maitland-Niles have both returned to full training.

The Breakdown

Arsenal's at times vilified playmaker has started six games for the Gunners this season. Initially, he started slowly but over the last few weeks he has begun to show signs of his true quality. Emery has chosen to play Ozil on the wing, with the German often drifting inside and linking up brilliantly with Lacazette and Aubameyang. While this doesn't give Arsenal much width, the change has worked perfectly.

In terms of Maitland-Niles, although he may not be a regular like Ozil, the youngster is going to be a huge boost for the squad given his versatility.

Over the next few weeks, Emery will need the full remit of the squad to call upon as he looks to continue the Gunners' superb run of form. The return of both players is massive for Arsenal and it should help the team push on after the international break.
