German international set to reject Arsenal

Marco Reus Our punters are feeling sorry for the majority of Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern and it seems that The Sun have even more bad news for the long suffering inhabitants of north London.

It seems that Marco Reus is unwilling to join Arsenal when he leaves Borussia Dortmund – and that event is drawing ever closer – as the Gunners do not win enough trophies for the Germany star.

As our regulars note, with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich also keen on him, not to mention the fact that there are a couple of other Premier League sides who would be willing to meet the asking price for the BVB star, it seems that Arsenal are once again set to miss out on a key target.

Now we cannot blame Reus for wanting to take the next step in his career and having already won the Bundesliga title with BVB, our landlord notes that it only makes sense that he would want to then join a club who are challenging for the Champions League, not just fourth place domestically.

Arsenal fans. Do you think that money will be the deciding factor in the Reus move? Can you tempt him with a bumper wage packet? Let us know your thoughts below.
