Mauricio Pochettitno can finally relax on the final day of the Premier League season, with a top-four finish secured after the Lilywhites beat Newcastle on Wednesday evening.
Fortunately, that will allow him to rotate his squad somewhat on the final day, perhaps giving a chance to a few rarely utilised players in the process.
One player that has struggled for game time in the league this season is Danny Rose. In a campaign fraught with injury problems and a lack of faith from management, he’s made just 8 league starts.
However, this is something that a fair portion of Tottenham fans want to see change later today.
We recently ran a poll on who should start against Leicester between Danny Rose and Ben Davies, and whilst the latter won, Rose picked up 43% of the vote – which indicates that fans are still behind the Englishman.
This is significant as Ben Davies has played very well this season, but still, a decent amount of Tottenham fans are eager to see their former mainstay defender come back into the side.
Of course, a good performance on the final day opens up all sorts of opportunities, and it could have an impact on where he plays his football next season.
For now, though, fans are thinking one game at a time, and it’s clear that a decent amount of them want Rose to start this one.
